A short film set in the late 1930s, Kennedy Hill, follows 17 year-old Grace who finds out she’s adopted on the eve of her big senior year dance with boyfriend, Tuffy. In search of her birth family she journeys away from home to discover who her true family are.

At the David Lynch MA in Film program, I wrote, produced and directed Kennedy Hill, my master thesis film, inspired by my Nana (my mother’s mother). She was adopted in 1925 and never sought out her birth parents or uncovered her biological background – truths I wanted to explore through this fictional narrative.
