Jennifer Kachler’s Bio

Jennifer Kachler began her career in filmmaking after receiving her B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She has been producing short films, web series, international tourism web commercials, industrial media and other video projects in New York City for almost a decade. In 2012, she produced the short film "Fool's Day" with fellow SVA Alumni as well as current students. The film world premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2013 and has since screened at over 100 film festivals world wide and won over 40 awards. The film won the prestigious Narrative Short Jury Award at Austin Film Festival & Best Narrative Short film at Seattle International Film Festival making it an Oscar qualifying short film for the 2015 Oscars. In August 2014, she was accepted to the David Lynch MA in Film at the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, IA.
